Mount 7 Golden BC | Canadian Rockies

Golden Mountain View Suites is right at the base of the Golden’s iconic Mt. 7. Mount 7 is a mountain in the Canadian Rockies just southeast of Golden, British Columbia. It is named for the characteristic "7" formation visible in the snow near its peak, visible for several weeks around mid-June due to the melting pattern of snow and ice at its cap.

Every summer, for a short-lived, week-long period, a natural wonder emerges in the mountains high above Golden, British Columbia. Mount 7, named for its characteristic “7” snow formation caused by a unique melting pattern of snow and ice, draws in thousands of tourists hoping to catch a glimpse.

A hike up to the upper paraglider launch site from the main (ie lower) paraglider launch site. The trail ends at the NW ridge leading to the peak of Mt 7 another 200m above. Great views of the Columbia Valley, and you might see paragliders taking off. https://goldenhikes.ca/trail/m...
