  • For breakfast, we recommend the Big Bend Cafe for a hearty meal and to enjoy it’s eclectic rustic ambience. Bluebird Café is another option that is conveniently on route to the mountain that offers good size portion sandwiches. Papa Bear’s Kitchen opens as early as 6.30am for the early risers. A little hidden gem in town would be Daley Bread that offers small batches of artisan baked goods and fresh bread. We highly recommend their butter croissants. They are only open from Thurs-Sun 8.30am-1.30pm, so go early!

  • You can grab a quick lunch at Nagomi Sushi or even a daily special soup with 2 side buns from Golden Bakery & Deli if you’re in town. A good dine in option would be Turning Point Restaurant. If not, we like to enjoy a cup of Kicking Horse coffee with a smoke salmon bagel/sandwich at Double Black Cafe, which is at the base of Kicking Horse. They also serve great snacks, soup, chilli, sweet treats and amazing fresh sourdough bread.

  • After skiing, the Whitetooth Brewing Company has a tasting room that’s the place to be, right downtown. If you’re feeling famish, refuel with Reposados Tacos. We enjoy the mix tacos with a side of spanish rice, it just hits the spot.

  • A little coffee spot to check out will be Bacchus Books and Cafe, the little cozy cafe is upstairs. If you like to read or be surrounded by books, you’ll like this place. Next, if you like proper and stronger coffee. Grab a quick one at Higher Ground Sports. The barista will be on your right as you enter. We like to do that and stroll through town or enjoy the riverwalk by Kicking Horse River.

  • As for dinner, our favourite local restaurant would definitely be Eleven22, we highly recommend the Dragon Boat and Double Smoked Pork Chop. Keep an eye on their seasonal menus, chef specials and innovative new items too! There’s also the early bird dinner menu from 5-6pm, 3 courses for only $26+.

  • Next, we also like Reposados Tacos for dinner. Who doesn’t like tacos? Our usual order is 3 tacos with spanish rice for $18.50+. The restaurant recently won a sustainability award by offering more vegan and vegetarian options. Great food and good drinks!

  • Other good dine in dinner options are Whitetooth Mountain Bistro, The Island Restaurant, Reposados Tacos and Sushi Q. Some good dinner takeout options would be Golden Sushi, Red Tomato Pies, Indian Kitchen, Alforno Restaurant and Pizzeria.

  • If you can, make it a memorable one by dining at Canada’s most elevated dining experience 7,700ft at Eagles Eye Restaurant. Call 1 (250) 439-5425 to make reservations.
